IFS offers bulk infrared glass for use as windows and lightpipes. IFS oxyfluoride glass (OFG™) windows are being developed for the Air Force Airborne Laser (ABL) Program and for Navy shipboard applications. Windows up to 39 inches diameter and 1 inch thick have been produced in a new JTO-sponsored window manufacturing facility.

• dn/dT: -9.0 ppm/oC (at 1.3 �m)
• CTE: 14.9 ppm/oC

• Young's Modulus: 10.1 Mpsi
• Bulk absorptance: ~75 ppm/cm (at 1.3 �m)
• Rupture modulus: 14.9 Kpsi
• Density: 3.751 g/cm3
• Specific Heat: 0.67 J/g-oC
• Thermal conductivity: 0.007 W/cm-oC
• Typical surface finish <10 angstrom rms
