Sensor-Grade (ZBLAN fluoride) Fiber
Infrared Focal Systems' patented Sensor-Grade ("SG") fiber is  designed for remote infrared sensing of substances. Unlike silica-based fibers, which cannot transmit a usable infrared signal over long distances, our SG fiber can monitor gases, temperatures or scan materials for contaminants from distant sampling locations.

Hand-Held Spectrometers
Our patented AOTF (acousto-optical filter) spectrometer has no moving parts and can easily be adapted for many applications. Most popular is our PlastiScan™ spectrometer, which allows line workers at plastics recycling facilities to instantly identify and isolate valuable post-consumer plastics.

Laser Windows
High-powered lasers are playing an increasingly important role in today's military. Our patented heavy-metal laser windows have a unique ability to protect sensitive laser weapons while transmitting high-powered infrared laser beams without energy scattering or beam distortion. Those same properties help our laser domes shield infrared cameras and sensors without distorting the images they produce.
