SG (ZBLAN fluoride) Fiber
It's often necessary to perform remote infrared sensing - for example, when you need to analyze toxic materials or you're monitoring substances in hard-to-reach areas. Traditional silica-based sensing fibers don't do a good job of transmitting strong infrared signals over long distances, so users are often forced to station large spectrometers on site.
Our SG (sensor-grade ZBLAN fluoride) fiber is ideal for remote sensing applications. Made of fluoride glass, our SG (ZBLAN) fiber exhibits low loss, even at large distances. Some great uses for SG (ZBLAN) fiber - monitoring fermentation in the pharmaceutical industry or measuring methane in underground mines.
SG (ZBLAN) fiber can be customized for your application, and can be used with our AOTF spectrometer or with any conventional analytic equipment. To learn more about our SG (ZBLAN) fiber, contact info@infraredfocalsystems.com
