SG (ZBLAN fluoride) Fiber
It's often necessary to perform remote infrared sensing - for example, when you
need to analyze toxic materials or you're monitoring substances in hard-to-reach
areas. Traditional silica-based sensing fibers don't do a good job of transmitting
strong infrared signals over long distances, so users are often forced to station
large spectrometers on site.
Our SG (sensor-grade ZBLAN fluoride) fiber is ideal for remote sensing applications.
Made of fluoride glass, our SG (ZBLAN) fiber exhibits low loss, even at large distances.
Some great uses for SG (ZBLAN) fiber - monitoring fermentation in the pharmaceutical
industry or measuring methane in underground mines.
